How fast does your website load on a phone?
Type your address. We run Google PageSpeed on mobile and desktop, the same numbers Google uses in ranking, and show you what slows you down most.
- No sign-up
- Mobile and desktop
- What to fix first
The test takes 20 to 45 seconds, because Google really loads the page twice. Public pages only.
The numbers Google looks at, not a generic score
Since 2021 speed is a ranking factor through the Core Web Vitals. PageSpeed measures them the way Google does, and shows which changes save the most time.
Core Web Vitals
The three numbers that count in ranking.
- LCP: when the main content shows (limit 2.5 s)
- CLS: how much the page jumps (limit 0.1)
- TBT: how long JavaScript blocks (limit 200 ms)
Mobile first
Google evaluates your page on mobile, and most visitors come from there.
- Simulated mid-range phone on 4G
- Separate desktop measurement
- Page weight and requests
What to fix
The opportunities with the most time saved by each.
- Uncompressed or oversized images
- Scripts not needed for the first screen
- Slow server response
Before you press Test
Why is the mobile score so much lower than desktop?
Because the mobile test simulates a mid-range Android on 4G, not your own phone on WiFi. That is how Google sees it too. Most small-business sites score 30 to 60 on mobile and 80 or more on desktop.
How much does speed matter on Google?
It is one ranking factor, not the main one. But it counts twice: in ranking and in whether the visitor stays. Above 3 seconds, about half of mobile visitors leave.
I ran the test twice and got different numbers.
Normal, within a small range. The measurement depends on your server's load at that moment. We keep the result for 6 hours; to compare before and after changes, look mainly at LCP and page weight.
What does LCP mean?
Largest Contentful Paint: when the largest element of the first screen appears, usually the hero image or the headline. It is the moment the visitor feels the page has loaded. Google's limit is 2.5 seconds; the websites we build aim under 2.
Want it to load in under 2 seconds?
Speed is the first thing we design for on every website. Send us the result and we will tell you what it needs: often it can be fixed without a new website.
