The code for your page
Enter the business name to see the code. It updates as you type.
Where to put it
With a plugin such as WPCode (Code Snippets): new snippet → type HTML → paste → location “Site Wide Header”. If you use Rank Math or Yoast, they may already add it: check first with the free website check.

What schema markup is and why a practice needs it
Schema markup, or structured data, is a few lines of code on your page that tell Google, Bing and the AI tools plainly: this page belongs to a cardiology practice with this name, at this address, with this phone and these hours. Without it, they guess from the text.
In our October 2026 check of 946 medical practice websites, 32% had no structured data at all and 22% did not state anywhere, in a machine-readable way, which business they were. It is one of the easiest gaps to close: the code from here is a single paste.
How it works
- 1
Pick a type and specialty
Physician, dentist, clinic or local business, with the specialty as schema.org defines it.
- 2
Fill in the basics
Name, website, phone, address and hours. The same ones as in your Google Business Profile, so they match.
- 3
Copy the code
Ready JSON-LD, in the form Google recommends. It updates as you type.
- 4
Put it on the page
In the head of the home page, with instructions for WordPress, Wix and Squarespace. Then verify with the free website check.
What you gain
Google links you to the map
The same name, address and phone on the page and in the Google Business Profile, declared in code, strengthen local ranking.
ChatGPT knows who you are
AI tools read structured data to answer “which cardiologist is there in Larissa” with the right name and phone.
Hours and phone in the results
Google can show hours, phone and price range right in the result, before the patient even opens the page.
One schema.org node, with everything Google knows how to read
Physician, Dentist, MedicalClinic, LocalBusiness and the other types, with the properties that show up in results.
Identity
Which business and what it does.
- Type and medical specialty
- Name, description, logo
- Website with a stable @id
Location
Where to find you.
- Address as PostalAddress
- GeoCoordinates
- Google Maps link as sameAs
Contact
When and how.
- Phone in international format
- Hours per day, merged
- Facebook and Instagram
Before you add the code
I already have an SEO plugin. Do I need this too?
Maybe not. Rank Math and Yoast add basic schema, but often as “Organization” or “WebSite”, without specialty, hours and address. Run your page through the free website check: if the “business identity” point passes, you do not need a second block.
Where exactly does the code go?
In the head of the home page, once. It is not needed on every page. If you have more than one practice, build one block for each and put it on that practice's page.
Will anything look different on my website?
No. The code is invisible to visitors. Only search engines and AI tools read it.
How do I know it works?
Paste the code into validator.schema.org to confirm it is valid, then run your page's address through the free website check, which tests whether Google finds the business identity.
Want us to add it, along with the rest?
Structured data is one of the 30 points we check. We take care of everything your website is missing so Google and ChatGPT can find you.
