Text SEO check before you publish

Paste an article or page copy and type the keyword you are targeting. We check the 12 things Google reads in the text itself: title, meta description, headings, opening, length and how easily it reads, with limits tuned for Greek.

Headings are detected automatically: lines starting with # or short lines without a full stop, which is how they come out when you copy from Word or your CMS. Nothing is stored: the check runs in your browser.

  • No sign-up, full result
  • 12 checks, each explained
  • Built for Greek text

The text never leaves your browser. We keep only the keyword, the title and the score, to see what visitors check.

What it is

What the text SEO check looks at

Google understands what a page is about mostly from its text: the title, the headings, the first paragraph and how clearly it answers the reader’s question. Most business articles in Greece are written without anyone thinking about this, and then nobody understands why they rank nowhere.

The tool runs the same checks we run before publishing every article on our own blog, adapted to Greek: it recognises the keyword in all its inflected forms and measures readability with limits that suit long Greek words.

How it works

  1. 1

    Type the keyword

What a customer would type into Google, e.g. “medical practice website” or “physiotherapy Larissa”.

  2. 2

    Paste title, description and text

Straight from Word, Google Docs or your CMS, headings included.

  3. 3

12 checks run in your browser

The text is not uploaded anywhere. The check runs locally in a fraction of a second.

  4. 4

You get a grade and what to change

A grade from A to F and, for each point, exactly what to fix before you hit publish.

Why do it

Why check the text before you publish

  • Google reads structure, not just words

An article with no headings, where the keyword first appears halfway down, will struggle to rank for the search it targets, however good it is.

  • Readers are on phones

Long paragraphs and long sentences drive them away in the first seconds. Google measures that too.

  • It takes five minutes to fix

Most findings are one title, two headings and a paragraph that needs splitting. Far easier before publishing than after.

What we check

Twelve points, in three groups

All of them concern the text itself. The technical side of the page, speed, structured data, indexing, is covered by the free website check.

  • Keyword

Where what the customer searches for appears.

    • In the title and meta description
    • In the first 100 words
    • In a heading, at a natural frequency
  • Structure

How easily someone finds what they want.

    • Title and description length
    • One heading every 300 words
    • Total text length
  • Readability

How comfortably it reads on a phone.

    • Paragraph size
    • Sentence length
    • Share of long words
FAQ

Before you write the next article

Does it recognise the keyword in another case or number?

Yes. The tool compares word stems, so a Greek keyword matches its other inflected forms. It does not recognise synonyms: if you target “website construction” and write “site creation”, it will count that as absent.

How many times should the keyword appear?

There is no right number, and keyword density is no longer a ranking factor. It is enough for it to appear in the title, the opening and one heading, and then to write naturally. Repeating it in every sentence reads as manipulation to Google.

Is good text enough for my article to rank?

Not on its own. The text is the base, but the page also has to load fast, carry a proper title and structured data, and be found by Google. The free website check at cyde.gr/audit covers those once you publish.

Do you store my text?

No. The check runs entirely in your browser and the text is never sent anywhere. We keep only the keyword, the title and the score, to see what kind of texts visitors check.

Want us to write your articles?

We plan topics around what your customers search for, write copy that passes this check and publish it on pages that load fast.
